Friendly, West Virginia Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

What is an age-friendly city? The WHO launched the Global Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities (GNAFC) in 2010. The program assesses age-friendliness by evaluating housing, built and social environments, health and safety, and respect and inclusion. In addition to these, the protocol also includes eight domains of health and well-being that affect older people. In addition to these, the protocol also asks participants to identify specific concerns they may have.

To measure the impact of age-friendliness, we studied the relationship between elderly persons' satisfaction with life quality, including health, participation, and safety. We used a questionnaire developed by IBM Corporation and conducted surveys at various social centers that serve elderly residents. We used IBM SPSS(r) Statistics version 23 to analyze data and compare mean scores across age cohorts. In addition, we incorporated age cohort variables to determine if age-friendly cities were associated with better life satisfaction.
