A quick glance at the population of the Core City reveals that its residents are predominantly non-white. The percentage of non-white residents is 7.5%. Non-whites are residents of any race, and are therefore considered to be part of the overall population of the Core City. Despite this, it is important to note that the city's population is not the same for every race. This fact is particularly relevant for minority communities.
The study also reveals that neighborhoods located near the core city are more ethnically diverse and lower-income than other areas. While most metropolitan areas have neighborhoods with a mix of ethnic and economic composition, those near the CBD have higher non-white population shares.
