The County Seat of Wichita Falls is located in north-central Texas. It is the county seat and largest city of the Wichita Falls MSA, which includes Archer, Clay, and Wichita counties. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 104,553. It is also the 38th-most-populous city in Texas. The Wichita Falls central business district is located just five miles from Sheppard Air Force Base, home to the Air Force's largest technical training wing. The city is also home to the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program, the world's only multi-nationally staffed and chartered combat pilot program.

Wichita Falls is part of the 69th Texas House of Representatives. From 2011 to 2013, Lanham Lyne represented the district. He also served as mayor of Wichita Falls for eight years. Lyne's second term bid was unsuccessful, and James Frank was elected to fill the seat. The 30-th district also has a representative. Craig Estes has held the seat since 2001. Pat Fallon won the seat in 2018. In the U.S. Congress, Wichita Falls is a part of the 13th congressional district. The 13th district includes Ronny Jackson.
