Its opponents argued that Upper Gwynedd was seeking to evict tenants and create unneeded parkland. But residents of the Martin Tract fought back. They organized an opposition campaign to the township's eminent domain plan. Residents opposed to the project include HVAC contractor Dave Kinion, who has a long-time business at the Martin Tract.
