University Park, Pennsylvania Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

The city of University Park, Texas, is one of the richest in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. It is self-governing and shares a school district with the neighboring Highland Park neighborhood. Its residents enjoy dining and shopping along Lovers Lane and high-quality public education. The city's population was estimated to be 43,690 in 2016. Its population is projected to grow by 4.3% over the next five years.

The population of the city was 16,037 people as of the 2010 census. Of these, 28.2% were under 18 years of age, 16.4% were aged between 18 and 24, and 25-44. Twenty-seven percent of the population was 45-64 years old, while 7.9% of the population lived below the federal poverty line. Eighty-seven percent of the residents were white-collar workers, compared to 79.8% of non-white-collar workers. There were eighty-three households with more than one person over the age of 65 years old.

A study of the carbon footprint of a community reveals that full-time residents prefer neighborhoods where they share space with other full-time residents. The chart below shows the percentage of units that are occupied versus the total number of units in each neighborhood. Old Town and Upper Deer Valley have lower occupancy rates and higher percentages of full-time residents. Nonetheless, the study indicates that both neighborhoods are growing.

The population of the community is growing despite a lack of new homes. According to the 2010 census, there were 4,852 deed-restricted units in the city, and nearly ten thousand households. However, it is important to note that the growth rate of Park City is not in line with the State or Census Bureau's estimates. The city's population, therefore, could have been more evenly distributed.
