The Elmora City is a town in Garvin County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 697 at the 2010 census. Elmora was named for J. O. Elmore, a local merchant. It is located on Oklahoma State Highway 29 and 74. Elmora is twelve miles west of Wynnewood, and 25.5 miles south of Purcell and U.S. Highway 177. The city has a total area of 0.4 square miles, or 1.0 km2.
