The population of South Mills is made up of many different kinds of people. While it's true that only one-third of the United States is a white person, the demographics are still quite different. This city has a very diverse population, and its diversity is reflected in the demographics of its people. The area is home to an average of 14.2 people per square mile, and the local population of South Mills is no different.
In the 1920s, the Pinnix Land Company subdivided the area around York Street and Edgewood Circle. This was later followed by the development of many homes along the perimeter of the city. In addition to this, many of the houses were constructed along the edge of a park. Today, the South Mills City population is approximately three hundred and forty-two people. This is a very low population, as the median income for this neighborhood is far below the federal poverty level.
The residents of this area include lawyers, dentists, and mill supervisors. You'll find many examples of these people in the Sanborn Maps. The first two maps show many houses lined up east-west. In 1915, cemetery street was renamed Chester Street. By 1920, the area between Jackson and South streets is included in the Sanborn map. By 1930, there are a total of fourteen passenger trains in the area. The Southern Railroad, the former Atlanta and Charlotte Air-Line Railroad, and the Carolina and Northwest Railroad both serve the area.
