West 4th Street, the main thoroughfare in the city, runs east-west, then turns north and crosses West 12th Street. The Village is located in a northeastern quadrant of the city. Its population is approximately 1,500. As a result, it is a densely populated neighborhood. For residents, a walk in Central Park is a pleasant way to get to work, enjoy a coffee, or even meet up with friends and family.
