In 1930, there were only 50 people living in Nesconset, and most of them lived on Midwood Avenue towards Smithtown Boulevard and Gibbs Pond Road. The rapid growth of Smithtown Boulevard resulted in a development boom in the southeast part of town. This forced the city's commercial center to move to Smithtown Boulevard. Now, it's home to a thriving residential community.

The population in Nesconset City consists of mainly human and elven people. There are also several elf communities in the area. The neighborhood is mostly human, with the exception of a few slums.
