The population of Evans Mills City is diverse. The majority of its residents are White, although the percentage of African Americans and people of other races is increasing. In addition, the number of immigrants has been steadily increasing in the city over the years. The population of Hispanics is 4.5% of the entire city's population.
There are two main roads that run through the community. The northern portion is a primarily residential neighborhood with a few commercial areas. The southern part of the neighborhood is primarily built after WWII. It is characterized by steep topography and curvilinear streets, with no gutters or curbs. Residents in the southern part of the neighborhood typically live on larger lots with at least 10,000 square feet.
