The population of Green Township City has nearly doubled over the last fifty years. The population of this small town was 1,985 in 1830, four hundred and thirty-six in 1870, and six hundred and eighty in 1880. In 1830, a nearly whole tract of land was sold for $75 at a sheriff's sale. This land belonged to Generals HARRISON and FINDLEY, Judge BURNET, and Colonel E. T. CARSON's father, who sold it in pieces.
