The population of Egg Harbor City is 4,243 as of the 2010 census, down from 4,479 in the 2000 Census and 38 from the 1990 Census. In 2010, Egg Harbor City had the seventh highest property tax rate in the state, at 5.044% compared to a county average of 2.560% and a statewide average of 2.279%.
