Camp Dix City, New Jersey is home to a large number of military men and women. It was used as a training and staging base during World War II. After the war, it became a demobilization center. Today, the area is home to many military units, including the Air Force and Navy.

Camp Dix was established in 1917. In the early years, it was an Army training camp. In the middle of the war, it was a major training post for the 9th Infantry Division. After the war, the post became a demobilization center and a training site for the Civilian Conservation Corps. The post later became Fort Dix, and served the same purpose as in the First World War.
