The City of Daytona Beach, Florida is a coastal city in Florida's state of Volusia. It has a population of 61,005 as of the 2010 census, with the estimate of 70,143 by 2020. The city was incorporated 152 years ago, in 1869. Listed below are the population and steets of the city.

The Daytona Beach area was home to the Timucuan Indians, who lived in fortified villages. Their population was almost completely wiped out by European contact, disease, and enslavement. By the 18th century, Timucuan tribes were nearly extinct. The Seminole Indians, descendants of Creek Indians from Georgia, also lived in the area.

There are a few ways to get around Daytona Beach City. There's a public bus system that serves the city's mainland area, but it is limited to a few stops along A1A. Buses pass through the main bridge, so if you plan to travel often, consider purchasing a day pass or month pass. Bicycles, foot traffic, and taxis are also common modes of transportation. Daytona Beach is home to the headquarters of NASCAR.

In 1886, the St. Johns & Halifax River Railway made its way to Daytona. Flagler acquired the line and made it part of the Florida East Coast Railway. In 1926, the city merged with Seabreeze and Kingston. The city's mayor, J.B. Kahn, urged the town to merge with other towns. The town soon gained the title of "World's Most Famous Beach."
