The population of Yosemite National Park is extremely diverse. Almost ninety percent of people live in the U.S., with nearly eighty percent of them residing in California. The city has a large number of singles, older people, and people in their twenties and thirties, but the proportion of children under eighteen is low. The vacancy rate in Yosemite Valley is extremely high, and there are very few children.

As of 2010, the population of Yosemite Valley was 1,035, including residents of the park, the National Park Service, and concession workers. Yosemite National Park is home to the world's tallest waterfall, Bridalveil Fall, which cascades from a hanging valley. A glacier created this waterfall over thousands of years.
