The population of Desert Hot Springs is quite diverse, and the majority of its citizens are of Mexican or Central American descent. However, the city does have a section of Korean American ancestry located on Cholla Drive and 8th Street. There is also a significant percentage of Native Americans living in the city, most of whom are members of the Cahuilla tribe, which is found nearby in Palm Springs.
