The city of Chino is located in Southern California. This city is home to a diverse population. The population is primarily comprised of middle-class residents who are looking to make a living. This area is growing in popularity due to its many attractions. In addition to being home to several diverse cultures, the Chino area is home to some of the country's most desirable golf courses.

The city is primarily comprised of neighborhoods and suburban areas. Almost all of Chino is located within moderate to high-income neighborhoods. In contrast, the southeast region has the lowest population density. Although the overall population of the city is low, there is an increase in the number of single families, older people, and children. A higher income also provides the means to upgrade older homes and make them safer.

The city has an opportunity index of 30 or higher. This means that there is moderate to high opportunity for most people. This index is based on the composition of families and the size of the households. Families earning less than the threshold are considered to be poor. The most common racial group living in the City is Hispanic, followed by White and Other. Although the dissimilarity index is high, the opportunities for poverty are low in these communities.

The Housing Authority of San Bernardino County administers Section 8 Housing Choice vouchers in the City of Chino. The City has allocated a total of 1,045 Section 8 vouchers from 2015 to 2019.
