The Siloam Springs community was first called Siloam City. A health resort was planned for the area, so John V. Hartgrove laid out the town. He named streets for biblical characters and later changed the name to Siloam Springs. Today, this city is home to several businesses, including the John Brown University, an independent school. It also has a population of approximately 28,000 residents.
